Why Is Community Capacity Important?

Building community capacity means building communities.

Communities that are able to understand issues, develop solutions, and create change are better able to build healthier and safer environments.

The Center for Community Capacity believes that no matter which quality of life issue a community group is working on, it is always important to work on building capacity.  Not only does this raise the chance of success for that initiative, but also the chance of success for that community group in the future.
