About The Center For Community Capacity

Purpose: to enhance the capacity of communities throughout the state to engage in effective collaborative action for health by nurturing community coaches and partnerships with technical assistance and access to resources.

Goals of the CCC:

  • Develop local capacity coaches across the state that help community coalitions
  • Help community coalitions to identify issues and problem solve
  • Build effective working relationships and partnerships among local organizations
  • Develop a learning community among local health improvement coalitions across the state
  • Support the ability of community to identify and better align existing resources and to effectively secure new resources

Activities of the CCC:

  • Conducts capacity assessments with groups and coalitions
  • Work with groups and coalitions to create technical assistance plans that address needs
  • Train community participants to become effective collaborative leaders 
  • Provides technical assistance in areas as needed
